Your Pay: 65-80k + profit sharing
Position Objective:
- Provide management with an accurate forecast that can be used to drive financial statements and determine sourcing/production requirements.
- Report point of sale information to track trends with key customers and provide this information to the Account Managers and Leadership to analyze market dynamics.
- Partner with procurement to adjust manufacturing schedules to align with desired inventory levels.
- Assist in recognizing opportunities to liquidate obsolete finished goods and make recommendations to rework excess inventory where applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Decorative Finishing sales forecasting process to include monthly forecast meetings with the respective Account Managers, forecast recap, and weekly point of sale reporting. Communicate forecast changes to procurement to ensure inventory availability to meet our customer’s level of service expectations and escalate significant forecast deviations to management.
- Assist Account Managers in executing business objectives, help develop sales presentations based on point-of-sale results, and leverage opportunities to standardize reporting across the retail channel. Provide ad hoc reports to Account Managers and Leadership as required.
- Collaborate with procurement to improve inventory management for Decorative Finishing through forecast accuracy and proactively communicate with Account Managers regarding inventory issues, including excess and obsolete, forecast issues, promotions, rework, and special orders. Support month-end processes and address issues concerning customer requirements.
- Maintains forecasting, direct profit contribution files, and reporting tools. Ensure forecasting processes and data feeds are timely and accurate between sales and procurement.
- Ensures data transmissions from internal and external sources are accurate and occur as scheduled each week. Partners with retailers and outside vendors to identify and troubleshoot data issues and seeks to automate these processes where possible.
- Other duties as assigned.
Relationship To Others:
- Will regularly communicate with Senior Leadership, Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Purchasing, and Finance
- Occasional communication directly with customers and vendors
Dimensions of Position:
Works with confidential data such as costs, daily sales figures, customer pricing, customers sell out information, customer forecasts and business plans, budget information, and inventory.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; and 1 year of experience in retail sales with emphasis on analysis; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by the hiring manager and Human Resources.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Requires intermediate to advanced computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, or similar sales analysis tools.
- Must communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Requires analytical aptitude, critical thinking, and problem solving/reasoning skills.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a standard or home office environment which requires occasionally lifting articles such as file boxes or heavier materials with help from others and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently. A job in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree or may involve sitting most of the time with long periods of computer work and phone usage. This position is hybrid, averaging 3 days per week in the office.
