Users of our efficient, reliable and cost effective solutions include final consumers, contractors and industrial manufacturing companies.  The company operates as two divisions, Decorative Finishing (DF) and Industrial Solutions (IS). 



The IS division is looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to support our Engineered Systems (ENSY) team that is headquartered in Plymouth, MN.   The goal is to deliver the desired customer service experience and drive service success that improves customer satisfaction and maximizes customer retention.

  • Safety is number one in everything you do.
    • Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic job responsibilities with reach and lifting equipment.
  • Service: Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on existing equipment either remotely via phone and other systems or on-site (individual items or assemblies in system for application).
    • Diagnose errors, faults or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
  • Installation of Wagner powder coating systems in North America.
    • Responsible Wagner representative onsite, communication of needs and schedule to team according to installation documentation.
  • Pre-assemble system components in MN prior to shipment to customer.
    • General warehouse tasks during off service weeks
  • Demonstration Lab Support
    • Assisting with and performing lab trials, industry trainings, general housekeeping
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Build positive relationships with customers.
    • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations
  • Support the sales team as a subject matter expert.
  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
  • Operate vehicles in a safe manner (rental, company and other vehicles, forklift, scissor lift, etc…)
  • Follow all company’s procedures and protocols.


Requirements of the Position

  • Proven field service experience.
  • Professional appearance considering the tasks to be carried out.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service electro pneumatic equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand general electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematics (European and US formats).
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules with overtime, weekends and holidays likely.
  • Familiarity with standard hand tools and proper applications of each.
  • Understanding of basic industrial process automation / PLC systems (in/out logic not programming)
  • Must have a valid driver license
  • Must have a valid passport to be able to work in North America
  • The position can be up to 80% travel; day trips up to 3 weeks on the road.




  • High school and 2 year Technical degree, certification or on the job experience preferably in the industrial application and finishing industry.



  • 3+ years, preferably of progressive experience in the paint finishing industry.
  • Experience and comfortable presenting to small groups desirable



  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiar with SharePoint platform and AutoCAD a plus.
  • Use of Multi meter and common hand tools.
  • Organizational skills - calendar use, personal, lab and departmental. Timekeeping.
  • Communication – good in person, phone and digital presence.
