Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Pulls production work order materials from shelves, boxes and bins and verifies qualities on hand.
  2. Performs data entry into ERP system of finished shipment.
  3. Operates hand-operated equipment to fill customer orders.
  4. Receives work direction from department leadership, however, incumbent is responsible for prioritizing his/her own work by sales allocation, date needed to fill and logistics of work order.
  5. Pulls and prepares product for production, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is picked
  6. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  7. Supports Inventory control in conducting daily cycle counts, delegated inventory tasks, and assists in process improvements.
  8. Demonstrates a willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization. Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation
  9. Other duties as required and assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualifications

 

Education and Experience: 

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred. No experience required

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and assembly aids and follow written and verbal directions.
  2. Ability to use scan gun and interpret data on scan gun for proper stock location.
  3. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations such as to adding, subtracting, and dividing using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  4. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to use scanners for counting and inventory tracking and control.
  6. Knowledge of the standard methods used to pack and unpack materials and supplies from trucks, containers and racking/shelving.
  7. Ability to be objective and flexible in adapting to changes in priorities, work assignments and other interactions that may impact pre-established courses of action for completing projects and assignments.
  8. Ability to listen and be aware of production floor activity to support a safe and hazard free working environment.
  9. Ability to work extended hours and/or varying shifts as requested in order to maintain adequate coverage during hours of operation.
