Pay:  $20-23hr


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that customer orders are accurately entered into the ERP system in the most time effective manner.


  • Responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing operations in an effort to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time and to the quality and quantity expected.


  • Is aligned and committed to Wagner’s Winnovation 2025 vision and our key values of being accountable, open, cooperative, customer centric, and progressive.


  • Remains accountable to WSI management and fellow team members for achieving all customer service and production deliverables. Works well in a team environment and has the desire to produce and deliver accurate work.


  • Responsible for receiving orders via e-mail / phone / fax and enters orders into ERP system, performing inventory checks, validating pricing and distributor discounts.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  


  • Answers incoming calls and/or greets visitors, determines nature of call or visit, handles when appropriate and re-routes when required.
  • Resolves product or service problems by clarifying customer’s complaints, root causing the problem and determining the best solution to solve problem.
  • Prepares invoices for the shipping department.
  • Verifies that the customer information is correct and up to date and maintains customer records.
  • Keeps the customer informed regarding the status of their order and relays information regarding any possible delays.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of data in the ERP system. May need to update plant and storage locations, customer data, customer discounts, pricing, material data, bills of materials, and minimum stocking levels.
  • Reviews customer orders and coordinates the activities of operations to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled.
  • Provides operations with a production schedule and verifies that products will be manufactured on time and verifies that projects are completed within the designated deadline.
  • Meets with production leads in order to determine the status of production schedules and projects and reinforces priorities.
  • Participates in continuous improvement efforts. Provides production/continuous improvement feedback to the assembly lead or the operations manager. Contributes to WSI’s goal of operational excellence with zero errors and optimum efficiency.


  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Education and Experience:  High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) (or international equivalent) required. Relevant post-secondary training preferred. 2+ years of manufacturing experience, in a plant environment, is preferred.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations such as to adding, subtracting, and dividing using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


  • Ability to identify and proactively communicate potential obstacles to achieving goal. Work with cross-functional team to identify possible root causes and potential solutions.


  • Effective oral and written communication skills.


  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate when needed.


  • Ability to listen and be aware of production floor activity to support a safe and hazard free working environment.


  • Ability to be objective and flexible in adapting to changes in priorities, work assignments and other interactions that may impact pre-established courses of action for completing projects and assignments.


  • Ability to work extended hours and/or varying shifts as requested in order to maintain adequate coverage during hours of operation.


  • Demonstrates the eagerness to learn new job skills and the initiative to do whatever is necessary to complete the task at hand


  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc. Must also demonstrate the ability to learn ERP software and suggest process improvements


  • Knowledge of Lean and Kaizen methods and practices and standard production safety protocol is preferred.
