Technical Support Rep

Position Objective:   The individual in this role provides technical support and coordinates repairs and returns.



II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Receives in-bound and makes out-bound phone calls and emails in order to provide technical service to customers, distribution channels, and service centers as it relates to the functionality of the product and the policies concerning the product (i.e. product recommendation, product assembly, troubleshooting, where to purchase products and parts, return policy, warranty satisfaction).  Promote and provide sales of Wagner parts and accessories. (50%)
  2. Create return documents for customers, receive returned product for inspection and determine if it can be placed back into stock. Process credits associated with returns and issue credit to customer. (20%)
  3. Receive repairs, create repair paperwork and have proper department provide a quote for the  repair. Enters repair information into the ERP system and creates shipment paperwork for return

to customer. (20%)

  1. Disassembles, repairs and reconditions Wagner Industrial products returned from customers. Analyzes products to determine reasons for return if not specified and/or cause for failure. (10%)
  2. Performs other duties as assigned.





III. Qualifications


Education and Experience:  High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).  Must have at least one year of similar experience. Knowledge of paint industry and application equipment a plus.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, drawings and diagrams and follow written and verbal directions.


  • Knowledge of and skill using Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.


  • Effective oral and written communication skills.


  • Ability to be objective and flexible in adapting to changes in priorities, work assignments and other interactions that may impact pre-established courses of action for completing projects and assignments.


  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to grasp concepts quickly are required.  Excellent visualizing skills are important to assist customers to resolve a problem.


  • Must be service oriented with the willingness to actively look for ways to help people.
