DUTIES

  • Measure a variety of mechanical components received from suppliers and or produced here at Wagner.
  • Perform detailed inspections on components and assemblies to determine conformance to specifications.
  • Conduct auditing of production processes and systems to help assure that processes and systems are designed and executed in a manner which will result in the highest quality products produced in an efficient manner.
  • Conduct or assist in conducting process capability studies to assure that variation is random and is well within engineering tolerance bands.
  • Maintain calibration and documentation (Gauge Site) of miscellaneous gauges and instruments
  • Communicate inspection results through appropriate documentation, i.e., SAP
  • Administer actions such as QN activity, material movement etc.
  • Generate reports on audit and inspection activity.
  • Use a variety of precision measurement and test equipment. Such as Roundness tester, Electronic test equipment, Force and pull testers and miscellaneous hand operated gauges.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in an inspection function with experience in auditing manufacturing processes and vendor supplied materials preferred
  • Certification such as ASQ Certified Mechanical Inspector preferred
  • SAP and PC software such as Word, Excel, Access
