Title: Customer Service Manager

Reports to: Director Strategic Planning

 

Position Objective:

The Customer Service Manager will be responsible for overall leadership, direction, and execution for a customer service organization that supports all current sales channels at Wagner Spray Tech. The Customer Service Manager will oversee operational efficiency, productivity, employee development, and customer service policies with an emphasis on continuous improvement in order to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Develop and maintain a customer service strategy to support the sales channel strategies.

Drive a customer-centric culture, ensure customer advocacy, and identify challenges that inhibit the desired customer experience.

Develop and create standardized initiatives and metrics to support the customer service strategy.

Leads and manages customer relation issues and acts as liaison to improve ongoing communication and processes.

Develops customer experience improvement/retention strategies and partners with other departments to implement these improvements across all Wagner SprayTech divisions.

Directs and makes recommendations for process, system, procedure improvements, and leads accountability for decisions made directly affecting the customer.

10%

Balances serving the customers while maximizing company profitability. Develop and manage departmental budget.

5%

Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.

 

 

Relationship to Others:

  • Direct management of 11 people
  • Communication with all levels and functions across the organization and external representatives and customers.
  • Regular communication with upper management, sales, manufacturer’s representatives, distributors, and customers.

 

 

Dimensions of Position:

Directs and supervises the customer service team with focus on customer satisfaction while handling confidential company information and providing continuous improvement.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

Education

  • Bachelors’ degree in business management, sales or related field

 

Experience

  • Minimum of five years related experience
  • Prior managerial experience required

 

Skills/Abilities Required

  • Excellent coaching and team development skills
  • Advanced computer skills including SAP, CRM, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in conceptualizing and implementing departmental improvement plans
  • Best practice customer handling methodology
  • Must be self-directed and have the ability to multi task
