Title: Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist

Reports to: VP of Operations



Position Objective:

Provides leadership, mentoring, and direction within the Americas region of hourly, salaried, and management personnel to ensure employee health and the environment are protected. Conducts and supervises activities that ensure compliance with governmental regulations and corporate policies.



Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are accurate and implemented to eliminate worksite hazards, reduce workplace incidents, and promote safe working conditions.
  • Helps develop and lead EHS Strategy and Process
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance of all health and safety policies.  Inspects assigned facilities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws. Maintains records of site visits and audits.
  • Investigate and/or support all safety related incidents, review incident reports, and complete necessary corrective action reports. Leads safety committee meetings while maintaining necessary documentation of activity.
  • Facilitate training to develop and drive a work culture focused on safety. Ensures documentation of all training activity.
  • Collect data and reports on all EHS incidents. Responsible for all recordkeeping and reports as required, including but not limited to OSHA 300 logs. Maintain/update safety data sheets and related materials.
  • Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical related field or 7 years of EHS manufacturing experience.
  • Strong understanding of environmental/health/safety regulations and corporate standards
  • OSHA 30 Certification required
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications or willing and able to obtain
  • 2 years of manufacturing/supply chain supervisory experience is preferred
