Title: Electronics Engineer – Intern
Reports to: Engineering Manager

Position Objective: Hands-on, day-to-day work related to Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

60% 1. Assist lead engineers with day to day issues. Investigate failures returning from fields.
20% 2. Project documentation. Lab assistance.
20% 3. Prototype electronic circuit boards. Program embedded controller.


Relationship To Others:
Position is part of the product development group and supports manufacturing in problem solving.


Dimensions of Position:
This position needs a strong self-sufficient individual that can help design, prototype, and test new electronic designs. This position will work closely with lead engineers and technicians.


Enrolled in ABET accredited school in BSEE or equivalent.


Knowledge and course work in electronic hardware and software. Knowledge of “C” language, Lab View experience is a plus.


 Basic skill in Microsoft Office 2010, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, MS Project, Microsoft Visual Basic and MS Visio
 Knowledge of Altium
 Knowledge of C Language
 Ability to use meters and function generators
 Excellent critical thinking and complex problem solving skills
 Must be able to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
 Exercises good judgment and has good decisional making skills
 Practices active listening to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
 General engineering tasks as directed by lead engineers.
