Duties:

 

  1. Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed
  2. Performs scheduled issues and picks of requested components/materials, additional parts, reservations, resupply materials, and consolidates and delivers work order materials.
  3. Pulls production work order materials from shelves, boxes and bins and verifies qualities on hand.
  4. Operates hand-operated equipment to fill customer orders.
  5. Pulls and prepares product for production, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is picked
  6. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  7. Supports Inventory control in conducting daily cycle counts, delegated inventory tasks, and assists in process improvements.
  8. Demonstrates a willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization. Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation
  9. Other duties as required and assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualifications

 

Education and Experience:  High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred with at least 2 years of related experience.   RF Scanner and SAP Experience a plus

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  1. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and assembly aids and follow written and verbal directions.
  2. Knowledge of and skill using Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
  3. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations such as to adding, subtracting, and dividing using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  4. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to use scanners for counting and inventory tracking and control.
  6. Ability to work extended hours and/or varying shifts as requested in order to maintain adequate coverage during hours of operation.
  7. Knowledge of Lean and Kaizan methods and practices and standard production safety protocol.
